Corrupts won’t be spared: Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the government was serious about combating corruption.

Addressing the fourth central convention of the Nepal Rastra Bank National Employees Organization in Kathmandu on Monday, Dahal emphasized the importance of controlling irregularities and corruption for achieving good governance. Referring to the ongoing investigation against the Bhutanese refugee scam, Dahal said that the corrupt people would not be spared under any circumstances. “The common people have supported the government’s efforts to combat corruption,” he added.

Dahal said the measures taken by the government in averting economic crisis have led to improvements in the balance of payments situation and boosted foreign exchange reserves.

“Since assuming office, the government has taken significant steps to address economic challenges, eliminate long queues for service seekers, and enhance the supply of chemical fertilizers,” Dahal added.
