New ministers sworn in

KATHMANDU: President Ramchadra Poudel has administered the oath of office and secrecy to three newly-appointed ministers.

Amid a ceremony held at the Office of the President, Poudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dhanraj Gurung, Minister for Health and Population Mohan Bahadur Basnet and Minister for Youth and Sports Dig Bahadur Limbu.

The three Nepali Congress (NC) lawmakers were inducted into Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s cabinet on Tuesday. This is the ninth expansion of cabinet by Dahal since his appointment as Prime Minister on December 25 last year.

Five NC lawmakers – Purna Bahadur Khadka, Prakash Sharan Mahat, NP Saud, Ramesh Rijal and Sita Gurung – are already in Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s cabinet.
