KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has admitted that the people did not show trust in big parties in the by-elections of the House of Representatives held on Sunday.
Speaking at the parliamentary party meeting of the NC on Monday, he said people were indifferent to big political parties.
“Since people seem to have lost trust on big political parties, we need to correct ourselves,” Deuba said in the meeting, according to NC leader Ramhari Khatiwada.
Deuba also expressed concern about the preparation for the upcoming budget. “Since people seem to be frustrated with big political parteis, the coming budget should address the needs of the people. We need to have programs that really matter to people,” Deuba told the meeting, according to Adhikari.
