Heli Everest chopper crashes in Dhaulagiri, pilot safe* File Photo

KATHMANDU: An Airbus A350 B3 helicopter of Heli Everest Pvt Ltd crashed near Dhaulagiri Base Camp in Myagdi district on Sunday.

According to Yogendra KC, an air traffic controller at Pokhara International Airport, the chopper became imbalanced due to strong wind while landing at the base camp and fell down at around 11:16 am.

Pilot Priya Adhikari was injured in the incident. She has been airlifted to Kathmandu by an Air Dynasty chopper.

The helicopter with call sign 9N ANB had flown to the region with supplies of trekkers.

In a separate incident on Saturday, a helicopter belonging to Air Dynasty had a tail hit while attempting to land on the helipad of HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu.
