KATHMANDU: The 10-party ruling coalition has unveiled its Common Minimum Program, specifying nine priorities.
The ruling coalition has included protection of the constitution, and strengthening and implementation of federalism as its top priority. Likewise, bringing about policy, structural, and functional reforms for economic transformation is also a priority for the coalition government. Ending all forms of discrimination to create a social system based on equity, independence, and justice; controlling corruption and promoting good governance; and implementing agreements reached with different parties to give a logical conclusion to the peace process are the other priorities of the government.
Similarly, creating a manufacturing-based economy, improving the supply system, and ensuring equitable distribution are also priorities of the coalition government.
Improving public service delivery, maintaining environmental balance by mitigating risks of climate change, environmental pollution, and degrading biodiversity; and adopting a free and balanced foreign affairs policy to promote national interests are other priorities of the government.
