KATHMANDU: The Medical Education Commission has allocated quotas for various undergraduate medical education programs.
Dr Bhojraj Kafle, the member secretary of the commission, said that the executive committee meeting of the commission distributed a total of 1,895 MBBS seats across 21 colleges.
Dr Kafle shared that 17 colleges were allotted 100 seats each. They include BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Birat Medical College, Chitwan Medical College, College of Medical Science Teaching Hospital, Gandaki Medical College, Kathmandu Medical College, KIST Medical College, KU School of Medical Science, Lumbini Medical College, Maharajgunj Medical Campus, Manipal College of Medical Sciences, National Medical College, Nepal Medical College, Nepal Army Institute of Health Sciences, Nepalgunj Medical College, Nobel Medical College, and Universal Medical College of Sciences.
Moreover, Patan Institute of Health Sciences received 65 seats, while Devdaha Medical College and Research Institute and Janaki Medical College were each granted 50 seats. Additionally, Karnali Institute of Health Sciences was allocated 30 seats.
