KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Thursday said that the meeting of three parties to finalize the presidential candidate has ended inconclusively.
Leaders of CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and CPN (Unified Socialist) met on Thursday evening to discuss possible candidates for the post of President.
“Discussions are going on. No conclusion has been reached yet. I will hold a discussion with CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Friday,” Dahal said.
Responding to a query on whether he would revive the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) or the five-party alliance formed before the election, Dahal said nothing has been finalized yet. “Discussions are ongoing,” he added.
Dahal held a discussion on the presidential candidate with Nepali Congress leaders earlier on the day.
