KATHMANDU: Indian foreign secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra is arriving in Kathmandu on a two-day visit on Monday.
Issuing a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Kwatra is paying an official visit to Nepal at the invitation of Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal.
“The foreign secretaries of Nepal and India will discuss various batters of bilateral cooperation such as connectivity, power trade, agriculture, health and culture, among others,” the ministry added in the statement.
The visit is in continuation of the regular exchange of visits between the two friendly neighbors.
“The visit will be an opportunity to further expand and deepen Nepal-India ties,” it added.
This is Kwatra’s first official visit of Nepal since he was appointed Foreign Secretary. He was promoted to the post while he was serving as Indian ambassador to Nepal.
