JANAKPURDHAM: Madhesh Province Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav has expanded his cabinet.
Yadav inducted six ministers and three ministers of state in his cabinet on Thursday, nearly a month after he took the oath of office and secrecy.
Chief Minister Yadav has appointed Madesh Yadav as Minister for Education, Science, Technology and Commerce; Surita Kumari Saha as Minister for Social Development, Shatrughan Singh and Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications; Singasan Kawal as Minister for Water Supply and Energy Development; Rajkumar Lekhi as Minister for Law, Justice and Province Assembly Affairs and Mohammad Zayed Alam as Minister for Women, Children, Youth and Sports.
The newly appointed ministers and ministers of state were sworn in on Thursday evening.
CPN (Maoist Center), however, hasn’t sent its representatives to Yadav’s cabinet yet. Sources say the party is miffed with the ruling coalition for allotting only one ministerial portfolio to it.
