KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Syed Haider Shah, paid a farewell call on Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun on Wednesday.
According to a statement issued by the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu, Ambassador Shah thanked the Vice President for his audience and expressed gratitude for his continued support to the Embassy of Pakistan throughout his tenure.
He also recalled Vice President Pun’s participation in the National and Independence Days receptions of Pakistan as the Chief Guest.
“During the meeting, matters related to mutual interest between the two countries were discussed,” it added.
In response, Vice President Pun appreciated Pakistan’s generous support to Nepali students for their education in the field of medical and technical education in Pakistan. According to the statement, the Vice President also appreciated Ambassador Shah’s active role and initiative in providing medical assistance to Nepal during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ambassador Shah also thanked the Vice President for the relief items sent by the Government of Nepal for the flood victims of Pakistan.
