Dahal visits flood-hit Nakkhu area of Lalitpur

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal visited the Nakkhu area in Lalitpur to assess the damage caused by last weekend’s flooding

Dahal reached the affected area for an on-site inspection on Tuesday afternoon. He spent some time listening to the grievances and concerns of the local residents.

Dahal later said in a social media post that his party had launched a volunteer mobilization campaign to help citizens affected by the disaster. He added that Tthis initiative aims to provide support, rescue, relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts. Dahal also appealed to all party committees, affiliated organizations and social groups to join hands in this campaign.

Nakkhu River caused significant damage to life and property in Lalitpur due to incessant rainfall from last Thursday to Saturday.
