KATHMANDU: As many as 65 school teachers were injured during a clash with police in Kathmandu on Sunday.
According to Shankar Adhikari, president of the Unified All Nepal Teachers Organization, 65 teachers were injured when police used force in the ongoing protest of the Confederation of Nepali Teachers (CNT).
The clash occurred on Sunday afternoon when teachers attempted to breach the restricted area on the New Baneshwar-Bijuli Bazaar road section.
“The 65 injured teachers are receiving treatment at different hospitals,” Adhikari added.
School teachers are protesting in Kathmandu for the past 26 days demanding the immediate passage of the School Education Bill.
