KATHMANDU: A parliamentary delegation of Nepal paid a courtesy call on Om Birla, the Speaker of India’s Lok Sabha, at the Parliament House, New Delhi, on Wednesday.
The delegation of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives, led by its Chairperson Raj Kishor Yadav, is currently in India at the invitation of International Relations of India’s lower house.
Members of the committee – Yogesh Gauchan, Sunita Baral, Hari Upreti, Samjhana Thpaliya, Chiring Lhamu Lama, Shishir Khanal and Ganga Ram Chaudhary – are in the team. Likewise, three staffers of the committee are also on the team.
The team will observe the Indian Parliament’s new building and also share experiences with members of Lok Sabha’s International Committee.
