571 unpaid Nepali workers of bankrupt Saudi firm MMG to finally get salary

KATHMANDU: Nepali workers who were left unpaid after the Saudi Arabian company Mohammad Al-Mojil Group (MMG) declared bankruptcy will now be able to receive their outstanding salaries.

In a notice posted on its Facebook page, the Embassy of Nepal in Riyadh announced that the Bankruptcy Trustee of Mohammad Al-Mojil has requested the facilitation of the Nepali mission in the payment of unpaid dues to 571 Nepali workers.

The embassy has urged the Nepali workers laid off by the company to complete their details by clicking a link provided in the notice.

The Capital Market Authority of Saudi Arabia imposed fines totaling 1.6 billion rials and issued jail terms to the promoters of the building contractor company for ‘illegal profits’ and other irregularities during its initial public offering (IPO).
