In a regular press briefing at the Election Commission Office in Kathmandu on Friday, EC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said 49 candidates pulled out of the electoral race.
As per the election program published by the EC, candidacies could be filed between 10 am and 1 pm on Friday.
