KATHMANDU: Twenty National Assembly (NA) members are being sworn in on Monday.
Issuing a notice on Thursday, the Federal Parliament Secretariat said that 19 newly elected National Assembly members and one to be nominated by the President on the recommendation of the cabinet will be administered the oath of office and secrecy on Monday. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Lhotse Hall.
The 19 members – 10 from Nepali Congress, five from CPN (Maoist Center), two from CPN (Unified Socialist), and one each from CPN-UML and Janata Samajbadi Party – were elected for a six-year term on January 25.
