POKHARA: Seventeen people were injured when a passenger bus traveling from Muktinath to Pokhara fell off the road and into the Kaligandaki River around 8:30 am on Wednesday.
The bus with registration Na 7 Kha 7440 operated by Myagdi Korala Travels fell off the road at Dhampu, some 30 kilometers south of district headquarters Jomsom, in Thasang-3 of Mustang.
The injured individuals include the driver, assistant driver, and passengers, according to DSP Rabindra Nath Poudel, the chief of the District Police Office in Mustang. Two individuals are in serious condition, Poudel said.
After receiving preliminary treatment at Lete Health Post, fourteen of the injured were referred to Western Regional Hospital in Pokhara.
