KATHMANDU: The European Union Delegation to Nepal is organizing the 14th European Union Film Festival (EUFF) Nepal 2025.
Issuing a press statement on Friday, the delegation said the festival features a diverse lineup of 25 films that bridge European and Nepali storytelling through themes of identity, belonging, and transformation.
The festival will take place at QFC Chhaya Center in Kathmandu from November 14 to 16 and QFX Trade Mall in Pokhara on November 21 to 23. All screenings are free and include English subtitles, it added.
The festival is organized by the EU Delegation to Nepal, in collaboration with embassies and cultural institutions representing EU Member States in Kathmandu and Delhi, including those of France, Germany, and Finland, as well as the British Council and UNESCO.
Several programs are being organized in Kathmandu in the run-up to the festival. These include a four-day capacity-building workshop for 10 Nepali filmmakers to develop skills in pitching, packaging and accessing internal platforms; a roundtable featuring filmmakers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders discussing the UNESCO baseline study and strategies for a sustainable film ecosystem; and a conversation with Nepali participants of the UK Film Study Tour, reflecting on their international
experiences and the path toward a more globally connected film sector.
