KATHMANDU: Thirteen staff members have been relieved of their responsibilities in the Personal Secretariat of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
Dahal’s Chief Personal Secretary, Santa Kumar Darai, on January 9 notified the Secretary-Administration of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers about the decision taken as per the direction of Prime Minister Dahal.
The decision came into effect from January 16.
Those affected by this decision include one personal joint secretary, four personal under-secretaries, two administration assistants, two computer assistants, one assistant, and two drivers.
With this reduction, PM Dahal’s permanent secretariat now comprises 20 staff members.
PM Dahal announced publicity a few days ago that he was downsizing his personal secretariat.
