
KATHMANDU: Winners, runners-up and participants of the 10th Pakistan-Nepal Friendship T20 Cricket Tournament-2025 were awarded amid a ceremony on Sunday.
Himalayan Cricket Academy emerged victorious in the tournament, while Angels Sports Academy secured the runners-up position. The tournament featured 12 teams from various clubs.
According to a statement issued by the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu, Dhruba Acharya, Vice President of National Sports Council, was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Egyptian ambassador to Nepal Noha Hamdy Ahmed Elgebaly, Chinese ambassador to Nepal Chen Song, ICIMOD Director General Dr Pema Gyamtsho, Charge d’Affaires at the Bangladesh Embassy Humayun Kabir, Global IME Bank CEO Surendra Raj Regmi, Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association (NPFCA) President Manju Ratna Shakya and K2 Everest Society Chairperson Rabi Raj Shahi were also present on the occasion.
The event was also attended by the media fraternity and friends of Pakistan, representatives of civil society, the Pakistani community and diplomats and officials of Pakistan Embassy and their families.
Speaking on the occasion, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, expressed commitment to continue such youth-focused sporting events between the two countries.
The tournament was supported by Himalayan Bank Limited and Global IME Bank.
