10 injured as bus collides with microbus on BP Highway

KATHMANDU: As many as 10 passengers were injured when a passenger bus and microbus collided at Saitar on BP Highway in Sindhuli district on Friday.

According to the District Police office, Sindhuli, a bus coming toward Kathmandu from Kakarbhitta collided with the microbus coming from the opposite direction.

Driver of the microbus, Gaj Bahadur Magar (38) of Lalitpur, and passengers Anita Neupane (30) and Prabin Tiwari of Kavre, and Prashant KC (address not specified) were injured in the incident.

Likewise, other injured include Sanskriti Yadav (9), Kalpana Rai (32), Amesh Khadka (38), Amrit Rana Magar (22), and Din Prasad Sigdel (42) were also injured in the accident.

Microbus driver Magar is receiving treatment in Dhulikhel, while others are being treated at a local health facility in Sindhuli.

Police have taken bus driver Suman Subedi of Dolakha for investigation.
