KATHMANDU: The government is honoring 10 civil servants with the Civil Service Excellence Award and 30 with the Civil Service Award.
According to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, these civil servants will be honored on the occasion of 22nd Civil Service Day next year.
The cabinet meeting was held on Monday, and the recipients were selected.
The government has been awarding best-performing civil servants as per the Civil Service Rules, 1994. However, it has failed to pick the Best Civil Service Award for the eighth year in a row. The government has failed to select the award recipients since 2016 when Finance Secretary Shanta Raj Subedi was honored with the Award.
Recipients of the Civil Service Excellence Award, 2024
1. Ramchandra Daigal – Public Procurement Monitoring Office
2. Shankar Bahadur KC – Provincial Secretary (Karnali)
3. Raju Prasad Guragain – Under Secretary (OPMCM)
4. Sagar Mishra – Chief Administrative Officer (Kageshwari Manohara MunicipalityKathmandu)
5. Chuda Raj Neupane, Under Secretary (CIAA)
6. Krishna Sapkota – Under Secretary (MoHA)
7. Chiranjivi Nepal – Under Secretary (MoFAGA)
8. Asha Rai – District Survey Office (Sankhuwasabha)
9. Bunu Rana – Daroga (Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve Office)
10. Nil Bahadur Purja Magar – Temperate Horticulture Center, Mustang
Additionally, 30 other civil servants from various offices will receive the Civil Service Award.
