Committee formed to address demands of parliament employees Meeting of senior leaders held at the residence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

KATHMANDU: A committee has been formed under the leadership of Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri to facilitate the implementation of demands placed by employees of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat Padma Prasad Pandeya and Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini are members of the committee.

A meeting of the senior leaders of the ruling coalition held at the residence of the Prime Minister on Sunday morning formed the committee. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal, CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun, Law Minister Giri, Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal, and General Secretary Pandeya were present at the meeting.

The employees have put forth an 11-point demand, including a revision to Annex 12 of the Employees Administration Regulations, 2008, among others.
